UltraverseMusic has been kicking around since 2003, when the Ultraverse DJ project migrated from clubs in Japan to the web.  Before there were terms such as blogs and social media, these pages provided regular updates and free mixes.  We're going back to our roots, cutting out the more personal aspects of the site and going back to the music.

The term "Ultraverse" came from a John Coltrane biography I picked up on a dusty shelf in the English-language section of a library somewhere in Japan.  Apparently, the giant of jazz was a big comic book fan and the idea of an "ultraverse" rather than a universe appealed enormously to my senses.  For the record, I have never read the Ultraverse comics.  For me, it's come to encompass a system of belief in music being a dimension that touches all humans regardless of race, creed or religion.  It truly is the common language.  Come listen to our stories in the Music section.
